Poort-Centraal, also known in the Netherlands as Rijnstraat 8, is a megaproject, which has required years of work. A total of 6,000 Dutch civil servants will work there in 4,200 flexible workspaces. Over time the ministries of foreign affairs, Infrastructure and environment will be housed in the building, as will the headquarters and counter for the immigration and naturalisation service.

The prestigious project, which must set an example for future renovations to government buildings, is all about sustainability. As a result it also won the coveted ARC17 Architecture Award. ETAP’s lighting fits perfectly into this picture. The 14,000 LED luminaires are managed by advanced light control systems for optimum performance. We are proud to have been part of this project.
