LAAS frees you from all worries, which come with lighting: installation, maintenance, repairs or replacement of defective units where necessary, financing and - after years of use - dismantling and repurposing. The initial investment and the unpredictable costs during its lifetime are replaced by a previously determined rental price. You can take maximum advantage of the energy savings and high comfort provided by the new lighting solution, from day one, without having to make a major investment.

LAAS aspecten

As a manufacturer we are in an excellent position to maintain your installations in the long term. Especially given the increasing complexity we as an experienced lighting manufacturer are observing in the sector. By means of LaaS ETAP can collaborate with customers in the longer term and hence also learn from each other. By monitoring and analysing our products, and by being responsible for every installation, we learn the necessary lessons in order to further optimise our products and services.

With Light as a Service, ETAP can play all its trump cards gathered over decades of experience in the lighting industry. Our products are designed in such a way that they are robust, durable and easy to maintain. That is why we are not afraid to make commitments over long periods of time. In addition, ETAP’s LED luminaires boast an exceptionally good LLMF, or Lamp Lumen Maintenance Factor. This means that there is an extremely low loss of light output over time, even after 10 years of use.

Combine this with very low energy consumption on our luminaires (the latest designs more than 160 lumen per watt) and you know that you can count on state-of-the-art lighting that stays up-to-date during a 10-year lease and that therefore you will never face any unpleasant surprises.

First major project for the city of Mechelen

In Mechelen ETAP completed a first major LAAS project for the city. Over time, four government buildings will be illuminated by “leased” luminaires. The new installation with some 260 luminaires was recently completed in De Zeeridder building. The Huis van de Mechelaar (500 luminaires), the HR Huis (70 luminaires) and the Sociaal Huis (some 250 luminaires) will follow.

“We consume up to 70% less”

“In the past we have even worked with electricians for whom you had to write a purchase order to get them to come out,” according to Mechelen alderman Greet Geypen. “It was all quite laborious. That is why we have adjusted our way of working with light here. With this new system, we save up to 70% on our energy bill, which makes a huge difference financially.”
