That functionality and aesthetics don’t have to stand in each other’s way is once again proven by this tailormade lighting solution at the Belgian hospital ASZ Aalst. 'We were looking for high quality, energy-efficient workplace lighting that could be integrated into our metal climate ceilings. And which could also be controlled via the building management system,' explains Pascal De Ras, head of the technical department at ASZ Aalst.

'Not only the aesthetic aspect, but visual comfort was also very important to us: we absolutely didn’t want the lighting to be blinding,' says Pascal De Ras. The result: a customized luminaire in the same colour as the ceiling with Shielded Lens. These optics not only shield the light coming from the bright LED source, but also provide a very unobtrusive integration into the ceiling.

'The clean look, the expertise and experience regarding climate ceilings and the solid after service - there was more than one reason to choose ETAP. And the smooth cooperation between all partners certainly contributed to the successful result,' Pascal De Ras concludes.
