Orange

Energy-efficient and comfortable LED lighting tailored to the customer - ETAP's strong suit. Two renovation projects at Orange in Toulouse once again testify to this fact.

Telecom operator Oranges offices in Toulouse are located in the shadow of Blagnac airport. The lighting was completely renovated in the auditorium as well as in the Accounting department offices. The auditorium is one of the companys showcases. The stylish space is used all day long for conferences, presentations and management meetings. In 2015 the auditorium underwent a major overhaul. "The customer had a number of clear criteria in terms of lighting," according to Fabien Blanchard, sales manager for ETAP in the Midi-Pyrénées. "From the beginning, it was certain that it would be LED lighting. In addition, the illuminance had to be easily adjustable to pre-programmed scenarios, depending on the activity taking place: more light on the podium during a speech, less light during a presentation, etc."

Typical design

They immediately liked ETAPs D4 downlights. Not only is it an extremely efficient appliance with a high LLMF (Lamp Lumen Maintenance Factor): after 50,000 burning hours the LEDs in D4 still deliver 98% of their luminous flux. The typical LED+LENS^TM design also perfectly fits into the perforated acoustic ceiling. The housing was given the same colour as the ceiling for seamless integration. With the DALI control, the downlights can be dimmed very precisely.

Double function

The offices in the Accounting department were also given an ETAP makeover. The old fluorescent appliances were replaced with energy-efficient U7 luminaires, also part of the LED+LENS^TM family. The lenses have a double function: they provide the correct light distribution and tone down the bright LED light due to their patented surface structure. The new lighting really hit the mark with employees. "ETAPs LED lighting perfectly fits into Oranges innovative look and feel."
