UGR
UGR
Unified Glare Rating
This is an approximate model expressing the risk of glare.
The standard values range from UGR 16 (low risk of glare) to UGR 28.
In the standard for workplace lighting EN12464-1, limit values for UGR are imposed for various rooms.
Typical UGR values :
- Office/Classrooms/Meeting rooms : UGR<19
- Corridors : UGR<28
- Staircases : UGR<25
- Warehouses : UGR<25
Quality criteria for drivers

The driver is one of the most critical components in LED solutions. The quality of LED luminaires not only depends on the LED light source and optical design, but also on the efficiency and reliability of the driver. A good LED driver must meet seven quality requirements:
- Lifetime.
- Efficiency.
- Power factor.
- Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
- Switching current (Inrush current).
- Waveform current.
- Mains voltage filtering.
Drivers are therefore crucial components in all LED solutions. High-quality drivers can be recognised by requesting the technical fact sheets from the manufacturer to check if the above quality requirements are met. ETAP always provides quality LED drivers, perfectly adapted to the solution and thoroughly tested in our labs.

Line concept
Individual luminaires are individually mounted and connected.
It is also possible to connect luminaires together for in-line mounting, whereby the luminaires are mechanically and electrically connected.
E4 and E7: in-line luminaires are interchangeable, and additional headpieces must be placed at the start and end of the line.
E5 and R3: There are unique luminaires for the ends and the middle of a line.
R7: There are unique luminaires for the beginning, middle and end of the line.

Luminous efficacy (lm/W)
Efficacy: lm/W
The specific luminous flux reflects the relationship between luminous flux and power consumption. Just as with fluorescents, a distinction must be made between the light source’s specific luminous flux (LED component, measured at 25° or 85°C junction
temperature and with a standard control current) and that of a luminaire, including driver and optics.

E4
E4 convinces with sleek looks and the patented DUAL•LENS technology. The lens with a double surface structure ensures maximum light comfort on the one hand and a targeted light distribution on the other. The series - individually or as a line - offers an efficient lighting solution for production halls, warehouses, work stations and shop shelves.
